Under the name Competence Centre for Music Education in Schleswig-Holstein (KMB.SH), a three-year merger of the MHL, the State Association of Music Schools, the Nordkolleg and the Institute for Quality Development at Schools in Schleswig-Holstein (IQSH), funded by the state of Schleswig-Holstein, will be established in 2021 at the Nordkolleg in Rendsburg under the umbrella of the Schleswig-Holstein State Music Council. In this pilot phase (2021-2023), the KMB.SH is to be developed into the centre of the music education landscape. A further education and training landscape for all musicians and multipliers in the academic and non-academic sector as well as the centre for the promotion of talented musicians will be created. One of the tasks of KMB.SH is to improve the permeability of young talent and talent identification as well as the promotion of gifted and talented musicians through centralised coordination.
